I met some new great people. There were 2 hiking groups combined. It was a lot of fun. The mountain peaks are right beside each other. Mt. Deception (5,796 ft.), Mt. Disappointment (5,960 ft.), San Gabriel Peak (6,161 ft.), and Mt. Lowe (5,603 ft.). An Adventure Pass is needed for this hike.
There were supposed to be 2 more peaks (Mt. Markham (5,742 ft.) and Brown Mountain (4,466 ft.) and the name of the hike would be six packs of peaks but it started drizzling, and one hiker in the group went astray which was dangerous for the group and during the hike.
Micro-spikes was really a big help but unfortunately the left one broke. I need to get a new one or use a zip tie if I do another snow hike.
The hike was less than 7 hours with a total of 10.5 miles. Some photos are from members of the group, I thank you. I enjoyed every minute every minute during the hike. I’m beginning to like winter hiking. 🙂 Until next time.
